Architecture and vision
A vibrant city life is what signifies when walking around in this area, small cafes, creative new biz, the combination of new and industrial building types and the implementation of two new building blocks that emits and embraces life and activity around the clock. This is The Green Packing District.
About
The building consists of two main staggering volumes creating a pedestrian passage between the two buildings connecting Skelbækgade with the meat-packing district. The intention is to create a vibrant city life in the form of outdoor cafes and restaurants, retail opportunities and possibilities for local residents making use of this specific sustainable cityscape. The upper floors are all offices which benefits from an optimum building depth and window size that allow for daylight to flood all workstations.
Materials
The facades take inspiration in the meat-packing district and keep the tradition of white walls and big windows alive, but diverse in its green common areas around and inside the building blocks, creating life around the buildings at all times.
